My toy boxes are constructed with solid 3/4″ thick cherry wood. The pieces are joined together with birch plates. There are no nails, screws or any other metal fasteners used to assemble my toy boxes, except for the screws used to attach the piano hinge which allows access inside the box. The exterior toy box dimensions are 32″ wide, 16″ deep and 24″ high. The cherry wood is finished with three coats of clear satin polyurethane.
The child’s name is hand routed into the front of the toy box , 1/4″ deep.
A personal message can be added above the “Artists Signature” that is printed and embedded into the finish on the bottom of the toy box.
Toy boxes take between five and eight weeks to complete after payment in full is received (three of these weeks are to allow the toy box to completely dry before crating). I will then crate (wood, plywood, cardboard and foam) the toy box and ship by UPS Ground.
